Hi all. Estate agency here. Our floor plans are technically accurate but frankly unattractive - line drawings that clients glance at and ignore. Meanwhile competitors publish colourful, styled plans that get far more engagement. Is this actually worth commissioning properly or should we just buy software and have staff produce them internally?

Good day. Depends on volume honestly. If you're doing dozens monthly, software plus a trained staff member makes sense. Below that, commissioning floor plan rendering usually works out cheaper than software licences plus the learning curve plus the time your staff aren't selling. Quality difference is noticeable too - furniture scale and layout logic are where amateur attempts fall down, rooms end up with sofas that wouldn't physically fit. Whichever route you choose, keep dimensions visible alongside the styled version. Buyers do use plans to check whether their existing furniture fits, and pretty plans without measurements frustrate them.
